## Purpose
Proactively review ConstructConnect for commercial construction projects that align with JLA Construction’s services (e.g. restaurants, commercial build-outs, trucking facilities). Identify promising projects, pre-screen at a high level, and submit qualified leads to Alec for direct outreach and bid qualification.
This is lead generation and opportunity filtering — **not** automatic bidding.
## 1. Log in
Access ConstructConnect account. Navigate to Project Directory.
## 2. Search for relevant projects
Keywords such as: Restaurant, Brewhouse, Commercial build-out, Trucking, Retail, other relevant commercial categories.
Prioritize: projects geographically close to JLA’s service area; commercial-scale builds; projects that align with company capabilities.
## 3. Review and pre-screen
For each promising project, collect: project name; location; square footage; project scope summary; project ID; architect or owner name; contact number if available; bid due date if available.
**Do not initiate bidding.**
## 4. Submit lead to Alec
Email subject: `Potential Project – [Project Name]`
Include: project details summary; why it looks promising; contact information.
Alec will: call the contact; confirm if they are open to additional bidders; decide whether to proceed with formal bid preparation.
5. Track status (Hubtasks/Worklenz)
Update task/subtask status: Sent to Alec; Contacted; Not Interested; Open to Bid; Bid Submitted; Closed / No Opportunity. Maintain a running lead list for visibility.
Worklenz is the live CVA task system.
6. Frequency
Begin scanning starting Monday. Review consistently (daily or multiple times per week depending on volume). Adjust based on workload and project pipeline.
Goal
Support business development; increase project pipeline; filter opportunities efficiently; avoid wasting time on closed or non-open bids.
