Scope
This policy applies to every individual engaged with CVA and Allied Assist Co., whether as a contractor, part-time staff member, or full-time staff member. It ensures clarity on classification, expectations, and applicable benefits.
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define employment classifications consistently across the organization. Proper classification helps determine timekeeping, compensation, reporting requirements, and access to development opportunities.
Policy Guidelines
1. Employment Classifications
Full-Time Contractors/Staff
Regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week. Eligible for full workload assignments, training programs, and performance reviews.
Part-Time Contractors/Staff
Regularly scheduled to work fewer than 30 hours per week. Eligible for proportional workload assignments and participation in training.
Temporary/Project-Based Contractors
Any changes, such as a move from part-time to full-time, must be approved by Management and updated in HR records.
3. Expectations by Classification
All classifications must comply with CVA and Allied Assist Co. policies, procedures, and standards of professionalism. Full-time staff may carry leadership or mentorship responsibilities. Part-time and temporary staff focus on task execution and support functions.
Responsibilities
HR and Management: Ensure each team member is classified correctly, communicate classification at hire, and update records when changes occur.
- All Contractors/Staff: Understand and adhere to expectations tied to their classification, including Senior Project Managers and Executive Assistants who coordinate via HubTasks.
Disciplinary Action
Misrepresentation of classification or misuse of assigned status may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of contract.
Document Control
Review frequency: Annually, or when classification categories are updated.

Engaged for a defined period or project. Workload, access, and system permissions are limited to the duration of the contract.
2. Status Communication
Classification is confirmed during onboarding and documented in contractor agreements.
