# Enter Meal Counts And Attendance For Children From Procare To Kidkare
Purpose and Scope
Transfer attendance and meal counts accurately from Procare into KidKare so CACFP records, reimbursement, and audit documentation remain complete.
Applies to: Allied Assist VAs supporting Ms. Alex’s childcare account.
Prerequisites
Use the approved Procare and KidKare access path through the organization’s password manager.
- Confirm the correct date, classroom, and meal before entering data.
- Have the classroom roster available for cross-checking.
Procedure
Open KidKare and Procare for the client account using the approved access method.
2. In KidKare, select Menus/Attendance → Attendance/Meal Counts.
3. Confirm the date, classroom, and meal shown at the top of the page.
4. Mark each participating child present by selecting the checkbox beside the child’s name. If KidKare displays an out-of-school confirmation, verify the status before continuing.
5. Mark the meal indicator for each child who was served. A child must have attendance recorded and must fall within the applicable meal time.
6. For an infant meal, select the applicable infant option, such as breast milk or iron-fortified infant formula, then continue.
7. Review the roster for omissions, duplicate selections, and incorrect classroom or meal filters.
8. Select Save after attendance and meal counts are complete.
9. Repeat for subsequent meals and dates as assigned; document any unresolved discrepancy for the client.

Notes
Do not retain credentials or copy them into notes. Escalate unclear attendance or meal records instead of guessing.
