# SOP: Posting a Job on BarefootStudent.com – Sonya Hickey

## Purpose and Scope

Create and publish clear job listings on Barefoot Student to attract qualified candidates. This SOP applies to team members responsible for recruitment and job posting.

## Responsibilities

- **Recruitment Team:** Prepares job details and posts listings.

- **Hiring Manager:** Approves the job description and requirements before posting.

## 1. Log In

1. Go to the Barefoot Student website.

2. Click **Log In**.

3. Use the approved password manager for employer account access.

## 2. Open the Employer Dashboard

1. Navigate to the **Employer Dashboard**.

2. Select **Post a Job** or the equivalent option.

## 3. Enter Job Details

Complete all required fields:

- Clear, specific job title

- Company name

- Job location: remote or on-site

- Job type: full-time, part-time, internship, or temporary

- Compensation or salary range

- Job overview and key responsibilities

- Required qualifications

- Preferred skills

- Application instructions and required documents

- Contact email or platform application method

Keep the description clear, concise, and error-free.

## 4. Review and Edit

- Check spelling and grammar.

- Confirm compensation and schedule.

- Verify contact details.

- Confirm compliance with company hiring policies.

## 5. Publish the Job

1. Select **Preview**, if available.

2. Select **Post a Job** or **Publish**.

3. Search the site to confirm that the listing is live.

## 6. Monitor Applications

- Check the dashboard daily for applicants.

- Respond promptly to qualified candidates.

- Update the job status when the position is filled.

## Best Practices and Documentation

- Use a searchable job title.

- Include a salary range when approved.

- Highlight flexibility or growth opportunities.

- Respond within 24–48 hours.

- Close the listing when filled.

- Save the posted description and track the posting and closing dates.

- Maintain an applicant tracking sheet when required.
