Teacher Of The Month Nominations

Purpose and scope

Run a consistent monthly Teacher of the Month nomination process for parents and staff. Prepare and approve the forms and messages, collect and track nominations, document the selection, and announce the winner.

Procedure

  1. Confirm the nomination window, such as the first 7–10 days of the month. Create or update the parent nomination and staff evaluation forms with nominee, center/classroom, reason, optional nominator, and date fields.

  2. 2. Test both forms and confirm that responses are captured. Obtain director approval for the forms and message copy.

  3. 3. Update the nomination tracking sheet with submission date, source, nominee, center, reason, optional contact, and follow-up notes.

  4. 4. Insert the approved form links into the parent and staff message templates. Sign in to Brightwheel and Homebase through the organization’s approved password manager, preview a test, and send or schedule the approved messages to the intended audiences.

  5. Record the send date and monitor responses during the window. Consolidate duplicate nominations under the nominee and follow up on incomplete submissions when appropriate.

  6. Close the forms after the window. Sort the tracking sheet, count nominations, summarize notable comments, and prepare a report for leadership.

  7. Prepare a shortlist, obtain the director or committee’s final approval, and record the winner and runners-up.

  8. Send the approved announcement to parents and staff, update the yearly record, and save the month’s report and tracking sheet in the designated shared-drive folder.Quality checklist
