Training and Development Policy

Purpose and Scope

This policy establishes expectations for continuous learning and professional development so CVA and Allied Assist team members remain skilled, adaptable, and current with tools, small-business practices, and childcare operations.

It applies to VAs, SPMs, Executive Assistants, Specialty VAs, administrative staff, supervisors, managers, employees, and contractors.

Policy Requirements

Training

  • New hires must complete onboarding and role-specific training before working on client accounts.

  • - Team members must review updated SOPs, policies, and tool guides within 48 hours of release.

  • - Required certifications, including platform and program training, must be completed and documented.

Ongoing Development

Each team member is expected to spend at least two hours per month on professional development. Training may include workshops, webinars, and platform certifications such as GHL, Jotform, Canva, QuickBooks, HubTasks, Hubstaff, and CACFP training.

SPMs and managers coach assigned team members through tool rollouts and policy updates.

Documentation and Tracking

Record training-module and certification completion in the company LMS or training tracker. Managers monitor completion and follow up on overdue items.

Continuous Improvement

Team members should provide feedback on training materials and suggest improvements. Update SOPs and policies as platforms and industry practices change.

Compliance and Accountability

Missing mandatory training deadlines may result in temporary removal from client accounts. Repeated failure to complete training may lead to written warnings or termination.
